#tbt #NPSF

Today marks one year since my first November Project workout. But NP has come to define more than just a workout for me. It defines my mornings, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. From there, it defines my weeks. And it has defined my last year. For me, November Project has become a commitment (a #verbal), a friend, a family, an inspiration, and a lifestyle. It’s more than just the crazy amount of photos that I’m tagged in on Facebook (which has subsequently caused my friends to assume I’ve joined a cult).

Without NP, this blog probably wouldn’t exist. Without NP, I can say that I definitely wouldn’t have ever run a marathon. Without NP, I wouldn’t have met so many rad people. And without NP, I (probably) wouldn’t have these sexy legs.

I give it a lot of credit, but there’s something awe-inspiring about a free fitness group that gets thousands of people across the nation out of their beds before the sunrise 100+ days a year. If you haven’t tried it, you must admit, there’s got to be some voodoo magic going on to get those results. I probably wouldn’t know most of these people if it weren’t for NP, but that’s the beauty of it. Truthfully, it’s just a bunch of nice, genuine people who work out together and build friendships.

I lose faith in humanity every so often just as much as the next person. But the fact of the matter is, kindness is all around you. You just have to take the chance to embrace it. Thanks to these people for being my strength and motivation. We’ll always run together, but I’m excited to get to know each and every one of them better with this next year ahead.
